PORSCHE DUAL SPINE
CONCEPT
The Dual Spine Concept is a sculptural tribute to Porsche’s legendary Le Mans race car, the 917, a modern reinterpretation of its timeless form. It preserves the graceful curves and glamorous volumes that defined 1970s endurance racers, while celebrating balance, aerodynamics, and fearless speed.
TELEPHOTO LENS, OVERWHELMING
To capture the overwhelming impression of the design form, I used a telephoto lens with almost no perspective. I adjusted the shot to convey a sense of weight in the standing position of the four wheels.
FLUIDIC SURFACES
By combining the strengths of polygonal subdivision and NURBS modeling, we developed a hybrid modeling technique that ensures superior surface quality. Each surface was refined and reviewed repeatedly to achieve sculptural perfection.
